Flint Hill has been constituted as a Church for 150 years. During those years much has changed in and about our community. What will never change is our mission to be an open, caring and friendly church who desire all to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and to grow closer to Him each day.
We strive to create a worshipful and inviting environment whereby people can praise God, use their gifts and talents in ministry and grow in their relationship with Christ.
We are associated with the Strawberry Baptist Association, the Baptist General Association of Virginia, and the Southern Baptist Convention. In the Baptist tradition, we are a church where the congregational form of church government is utilized. As Baptists, we are self-governing and our association with other churches and Baptist organizations is voluntary. Each Church is autonimous and decides, under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, the direction it will go, the ministries it will be involved in, and the pastoral and staff leadership it calls to service.
Baptists, historically, are not a credal denomination, but the doctrines that we hold dear can be found in the Baptist Faith and Message. Above all, we strive to be the church that Christ created us to be, and the church he desires for this community at this point in history.
All are welcome to be a part of this Christian community. We are ALL sinners saved by the grace of God and as such, we are all in this thing called life together. We believe that God has a plan for each of our lives and hope that you will allow us to help you find and live out your unique plan to His ultimate glory. Whatever your church background, or if you have no church background whatsoever, we will welcome you with open arms into this community of faith.
